Allison García is an underground artist, her music goes back
to a retro, personal sound and has post punk influences,
grunge, psychedelia, and glam rock.
She is the composer of her lyrics, music and producer of
their songs.
On June 12th, she released her third album, «Redención»
(Redemption). Recorded between Los Angeles and Barcelona and mixed in
Los Angeles, it features a collaboration with guitarist Jordi Mena
(guitarist for Jarabe De Palo and Enrique Bunbury).
She has been presented in different cities in Europe and Latin America. In 2019,
2022 and 2023 she embarked on tours in the United States with a very good
response from the public.
Based in Barcelona, her first songs have a place
on the first EP «Romance Salvaje» (2015).
Delito de Amar (2017) and Distorsióname (2023) are her two albums
that are managing to reach an audience that finds a relationship with
sound of her songs with artists like Patti Smith, Nirvana,
Pixies, David Bowie all artists with their own identity,
something that is a characteristic of her compositional capacity.
Her music has inspired other musicians to cover her songs.
She reinterpreted her song 1989 singing a duet with
Diego Demarco guitarist and composer of Los Auténticos Decadentes.
Between August and September 2023 she returned to the United States for the third
time performing in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and in the legendary
Black Box in Tijuana-Mexico accompanied by the musicians from Javier Batiz band
and Jorge Jiménez guitarist from Tijuana No.
At the end of the tour she moved to the California desert where she filmed the video
Undomesticated. The chosen place was the protagonist of several videos where Michael
Jackson, Radiohead, Tom Petty…
On her second tour of the United States during October 2022, she performed in
New York and Houston.
Upon her return she participated in the independent festival
«Say No More» from Barcelona.
During 2019 Allison embarked on a long tour with performances in
Medellín, Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco and Tijuana.
From 2014 to the present she has presented her songs alone
and with a band in some cities and countries: London, Zurich, Belfast,
Germany, Holland, United States, Colombia and México.
In Spain she performed in different venues in Madrid and Barcelona.
In 2017 she participated with her band at the Barcelona Grec Festival, sharing the stage
with the Colombian band Aterciopelados.
Allison also performed at the International Mercat Live Music Congress (Vic). She is a plastic artist and
this other facet has led her to be the producer of her videos and graphic art.
A Colombian born in Medellín who from Spain opens a new door to the sonic world of other
decades together with her own and current sound.
